V.O.C. members will be well acquainted with the Club's various specialists whose contact details are printed in Fishtail.
Though these experts are undoubtedly the best source of advice in their respective areas, none is currently "on-line".
However, the advice you need may well be available from a fellow enthusiast visiting our site!
You are invited to ASK ANY QUESTION and strongly urged to CONTRIBUTE ANY ANSWER about the Velocette motorcycle.

Please do not ask about the 'whereabouts' of a particular machine.
At the request of members the club has implemented a secure procedure for handling such requests through the club registrars, but this procedure (which is in writing) is only available to members. 'Dating' services are also not available on-line.
Questions asking for particular parts (or offering to supply them) are not appropriate to the Q&A page. Members can place free "Wanted" ads in Fishtail.

Answers come just from other visitors to the site. Unless you are absolutely sure from your own experience that an answer or suggestion is safe and sensible, please ask a suitably qualified engineer to evaluate it for you.

It may take a while, but eventually there will be many threads in this Forum. As soon as this page gets too long, the topics will be separated into different categories.
Meanwhile just e-mail your Question, Answer, Comment or Suggestion to tony_wright@compuserve.com  (If you prefer to type the e-mail later, please note that it's an "_" (underscore) between "tony" and "wright", not a space.)
Please include your name since it needs to appear with your contribution.

Your contribution will usually appear in the Forum on the following day. It doesn't matter how potentially dumb you think your contribution may be, it will have a place and almost certainly others will gain from reading it. On the other hand, if it's not related to technicalities or facts specific to the Velocette motorcycle, it will be returned to you to await the day we have a members-only general discussion forum. If and when our site has a "Members Only" section, this Q&A Forum will probably move into it. Until then, everyone should feel free to join in.

[TW tries to contribute an answer if no one else does within a few days. He has learnt a bit about the springer models through trial and (mostly) error; but unfortunately knows almost nothing about the rigid and OHC models. EV005 is included as a 'saga' in case it helps others to persevere in the perfecting of their Velocette's performance.]
