EL012 ELECTRICAL

Can anyone suggest an alternative ignition system to replace the points on the end of the camshaft of a KTP? 
Is there any alternator conversion which will fit in place of the dynamo behind the cylinder barrel ? Any other advice on the KTP welcomed. - Jimmy Burns 22/9/2002
