Any recommendations for 6v solid state voltage regulators? - Brian McKeown 28/6/2001

I recommend the JG electronic regulators, which can also boost your voltage to 12v if you want better lights and don't mind changing your battery, all your bulbs, and the connections to your 6v dynamo. For those with coil ignition you'd need to change the coil as well, but get a better spark. I have a MAC with a 6v and two Venoms with 12v JG units, all have behaved perfectly for several years. (It is essential to match your earth (i.e. +ve or -ve) to the type of unit.) I get mine from:
