EC001 ENGINE COVERS

I own a 1959 Venom which has fibreglass engine covers. These were not fitted to the bike when I bought it. The parts needed to fit the covers to the bike were lost by the seller. I have emailed a kind Velo owner who has sketched and photographed the parts although the photographs are not terribly clear . I do not have any good contacts to get the parts made, naturally I would like to buy them from the Club spares service but they do not appear to stock them. The club spares manual does not include these parts, so, if no drawings exist for the parts I am happy to generate them if I can collate all the information needed.
Can anyone help - I particularly need information about the position and orientation of the parts on the bike. Secondly the parts No if possible.
Any help would be gratefully received - Mark Rayner crus250@hotmail.com 5/2/2001

Mark, I have just taken my brackets off in the course of rebuilding my MSS Veeline ( the veeline has engine covers of a slightly different shape but the brackets are in the same places). If you can get to me asap you are welcome to make some drawings. I do need to get the bike back together in the next week or so, so you do need to speak to me asap. my phone number is in fishtail Roger (VOC Chairman) 23/4/2001

I've been after a set of Engine Covers for my Viper. Having tried to acquire, I chanced upon an opportunity to have a mould made and limited batch of Engine Covers produced. Obviously for a one off set, this is prohibitively expensive. However, if there is sufficient interest by other folks to acquire a new set of Engine Covers, then I'd be prepared to see the project through.
In any event, I'd need a set of Engine Covers as a pattern to either borrow or buy. Please let me know if anyone is interested and or have a pattern to lend or buy. - Stewart Muir stewart@itpp.co.uk 5/9/2001
