CA003 CARBURETTOR
I'm trying to fine tune my carburateur. The Venom clubman pulls best when
slightly closing the throttle. On full bore it is not running 'round'.
The carb is a concentric 930 R300 and was fitted with an aircleaner but I
changed that for a velocitystack.
I tried all main jets 260 - 300 range and
settled for 290. throttlevalve is 4, needlejet 107, pilot 30, needle second
position.
How does a R300 compare with /15, /16 and /29? Any advice on jetting? - Hein Rollmann

I have no personal experience of tuning the Concentric type of carb for a
Venom, but the Velocette Red Book says that
the R930/29 required 270 Main, 622/107 pilot, 3 Throttle Valve, 106 needle in
groove 3
(I think a "622/107" pilot may be the part number for size 30)
and that the earlier R930/15 required 270 Main, 30 pilot, 4 Throttle
Valve, 107 needle in the bottom groove - TW 7/5/2003
