CA001 CARBURETTOR

Does anyone have any information regarding the Jetting of a MK2 Amal Concentric on a standard Venom engine. It is a 30mm carb and I just require a start point for the relative jets, throttle cut-away etc. - Eric Cox 13/3/2003

I have a Mk2 Amal Concentric and it is jetted as follows:-
30mm Bore, 270 Main Jet, 30 Pilot, 3 1/2 Throttle Valve, 106 Needle Jet
Make sure you get a Carb with the air control and idle screws on the exhaust side when fitted to the bike ( Righthand I think) I have just completed 1000 miles on my Venom with a Mk2 Concentric in the Ozzie rally. You may have to check the main jet with a test using full throttle etc and then decide if it needs to be changed later.
I found to start the Venom, I put the choke on, kicked it over about five times, then put the choke off and followed the normal starting procedure. This method was used as there is no tickler to flood the carb. - Neville Smith. Warrnambool, Australia 4/5/2003
