AV003 ADVERTISING/VALUING

Where can I buy a suitably rare Velocette, the same as the one on the rear cover of Fishtail (shown bottom right displaying no.30). I fancy a bike with a nearside front brake, exhaust pipe, timing cover etc. The possibility of making a double sided front brake seems too good an opportunity to miss. Although I have seen a double sided front brake on a Velo many years ago, presumably that's where the owner got the idea/parts? - Tony Ainley 23/9/2000

I think you will will find Veloce Spares sourced that photo from the Southern Hemisphere. All Velos look like that down here. The handling is unchanged. I don't know why the rider fitted his racing number on backwards, perhaps he was in a hurry and the scrutineers were asleep. - George Tofield, 21/10/2000
