1961 Venom originally bought as a basket case in 1985. It was built as standard and lasted all of a year before a
'sorry-I-didn't-see-you-mate'-write-off. It was rebuilt again with a different frame, used as daily transport for years and toured Europe.
Getting a bit tatty, it was rebuilt again in 1996, into its original (straightened) frame but as a go-faster version, with a few steel bits left
off. I wanted to race it eventually, but it's too nice so I want another!

The Mk1KSS was built up by John Smith of Marston Green (d.1994 aged 71) in 1952 and is a 'hybrid', or in other words a bunch of miscellaneous bits! The
engine dates from 1929 - but with modified valve springs - and the frame from 1940. It has a MkII KSS 4-speed CR gearbox and a few KTT bits on it.
A lovely all-year round bike.

This is the Buchany Velo which I bought just before Christmas 04, which was advertised in FT.
It's now racing again, these pictures from practice at Cadwell. Next race will be
Lydden on 25/6 June with the VMCC.
