Hi
I would like to inform you of the creation of a Velocette technical forum, which will allow those that join to ask or answer questions about Velocette
Motorcycles via e-mail.
Owners of Velocette motorcycles have always had a strong tradition of enjoying technical aspects of these rather unique
motorcycles.
Therefore we have created this e group is to foster the sharing of knowledge and the building of a virtual community of those interested in
the technical side of Velocettes.
This e group complements both the existing Velocette technical site (www.croesus-consultants.co.uk/v-tec/ )and the official Velocette Owners Club
site ( www.velocetteowners.com ).
Our aim is to harness the knowledge of the Velocette community for the benefit of our fellow enthusiasts. We have
no commercial ambitions, alliances or agendas. However as we are unable to control the quality of the advice you receive, we cannot take responsibility
for accuracy of the responses to your questions. Before acting on any information or suggested modifications you should seek advice from suitably
qualified individuals.
We hope those that join this group will respect the spirit in which it was set up, and not use it for commercial gain. We also would like members' to
respect our community by only publishing mails that are of a courteous and non-offensive nature.
What are the downsides?
- Firstly you will receive e-mails from other members on a regular basis - but you do not have to respond to them, but hopefully someone will!
- Some mails will contain adverts from Yahoo!
- The real pain is in the registration with Yahoo! You will need to set up a yahoo e-mail address BUT YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE THIS E MAIL ADDRESS TO SEND
AND RECEIVE GROUP MESSAGES. You can use your existing e-mail address.
How do I join!
Follow this link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/velocette/ and before you
register read the yahoo! help pages (http://help.yahoo.com/help/groups/
) - as registering is a bit like setting up a Velo clutch.
If you know of others who may be interested in joining please feel free to forward this mail to them. We look forward to you joining our community.
Regards
Dai Gibbison
