CHAIRMAN'S RUN - SUNDAY 25TH MAY 2008
By popular request I shall be organising another jaunt for the discerning Velo rider.
Stalwarts of previous Chairman's Runs may remember my 2006 route which explored the Cotswold lanes south of Cheltenham and finished at our house where we had an 'indoor' BBQ because the rain was still lashing down outside.
You probably can't remember the glorious scenery.
Let's face it, we couldn't see much of it anyway and we spent more time watching the road so as not to slide off on the clarts washing off the fields.

This year's plan is to follow the first part of the old route from the 'Corner Ways' tearoom in Broadway but to swing round more to the east after Bibury and make our way back to Alcester where the party will be sat Richard & Jean Adams's house again.
If it's a bit damp at least we can spread out under cover and enjoy the food and drink.
It got a bit cramped at our place.
I'll be checking out the route this week and making sure the tearoom is ready for us, so keep an eye on the Club website and open your emails regularly to print off a route card.
I'll have a supply anyway in case you aren't in the hi-tech era yet.

There will be a small charge to cover part of the cost of the eats but as usual we try to provide free beer. As usual all VOC Members and friends are welcome, especially those from other Centres.

Let me know as soon as you can how many of you are coming. My 'phone number and email address are in Fishtail.

Alcester Centre 2000 Summer (?what summer) Run Successfully Completed
Not exactly the most important news of the season, but the handful from the Alcester Centre who Velo'd through the Cotswolds on 24th June were pleased to get back with only a mild soaking. Click for a nice selection of Rear Ends, or Front Ends, or Sideways or After the Pub, or TW's Valiant gasping for breath after  keeping up with the bigger boys (very hilly, the Cotswolds).
